Academy
The teaching and application of biblical principles in the lives of your children is what we have been called to do. We exist as a school to equip your children academically and spiritually in a safe and loving environment.
Our Academy is an extension of our ministry, which provides an alternate source of education for children of our community, regardless of race or religious belief. Our curriculum incorporates accepted scholastics, advanced education, languages, physical education, sports, and Christian doctrine.
The Academy was founded in 1985 with a vision to provide quality Christian education with emphasis in Christian character and biblical principles as its foundation. The academy currently enrolls K to 12th grade. The curriculum that is in place is ACE (Accelerated Christian Education) and ABEKA. Accelerated Christian Education offers individualized core curriculum with a scope of preschool through college preparatory levels in Math, English, Social Studies, Science, and Etymology. The students participate and compete against other private schools in sports such as volleyball and basketball.
Academics:
A.C.E. has published individualized curriculum since 1970. It allows new students to test and be placed in the subject level determined by the diagnostic test scores. From there, the unique format allows the student to advance from unit to unit as they demonstrate mastery. The curriculum is highly motivating, as well as challenging and with a high standard of quality.
ABEKA systematic phonics program teaches students to read at an early age. Students also receive strong character-building reading selections. Grammar and creative writing give the students consistent daily practice and review. Spelling, vocabulary, and poetry help students, improve their ability to read, write, think, and speak. Penmanship is taught step by step consistently throught the program
EPCC: High School Students will have a oppourtunity to take Dual Credit classes through El Paso Community College.
Athletics:
The Academy offers basketball, volleyball, and track for grades 5-12th. We strive for excellence on the field of play. The Academy has been blessed with an official NCAA basketball gym floor. The children also compete against other private schools in a yearly regional event in New Mexico.
